Supply Chain Engineering
The master data we need to model your supply network and run material-flow planning, freight optimization and load building. Use the templates below — and the validation tips — to prepare a clean, complete data set.
Summary of required data.
Master data plus vocabulary. Items marked Optional improve the model but are not required to start.
Master data
Locations
Locations master data — the intermediate points of the supply chain (name, address, type).
Accounts
Accounts master data — information about the entry and exit points of the supply network.
Products
Products master data — the materials transported through the network.
Shipments
Information about the flow and shipments, dates and product demands.
Supply
OptionalSupply and demand — information about orders, accounts, dates and product demands.
Transportation cost
OptionalCost based on weight, volume, quantity, distance or combinations. Costs can be grouped by Case Type Sets.
Cost rates
Handling and fixed costs occurring at the location candidates.
Vocabulary

Names used in W2MO and in the data templates.
Data validation recommendation
- Please refer to the accompanying materials. Make sure the obligatory information is in place first, and don't hesitate to ask if anything is unclear — and let us know if some data cannot be provided.
- Download “LNO_templates.zip”, then enter your data into the matching CSV file. Pay attention to the fields marked as “obligatory”.
- Master-data basic validation tips:
- Check that references are valid: the products, accounts and locations referenced in the data must exist in their respective master-data files.
- Product volume: item volume × items per case must be ≤ case volume; case volume × cases per pallet must be ≤ pallet volume.
- Processing raw data in its original files and formats may take extra time — in that case please specify the headers and their description, the units of measurement, the shorthand separators, and the description and usage targets of any additional data included.
