Track every goods and forklift movement with our AI-RTL&RS and combine the data with your warehouse management system in the W2MO digital twin to make your processes leaner and more efficient. The W2MO AI-RTL&RS tracks the movements of every vehicle in the warehouse and, with them, the movements of the goods carried by those vehicles. Once goods have been introduced to the system at an identification point, the movement of the pallets is followed continuously. The digital twin stores which rack bin or bulk area a pallet has been placed on. When the pallet is picked up again, the system knows which goods are being moved without any scanner — and the operator can focus purely on the transport. Bookings can be executed exclusively based on the Real Time Location & Recognition System. Special sensors on the forklifts (e.g. for load state) are no longer required, because these states are recognized by the RTL&RS.

The movement data captured by the AI-RTL&RS is stored directly in the digital twin, creating a true real-time digital twin. It provides the framework to turn this data into optimizations and is the foundation for controlling warehouse operations. A first digital twin can usually be built within a few hours and offers unique value from day one.

The digital twin also serves as the user interface for warehouse control. Add relevant processes and the road map (preferred transport paths, speed limits, …) in just a few clicks. Monitor and follow every transporter in real time in the 3D view, analyze and optimize the efficiency of your fleet. Use real-time traffic analysis for dynamic route planning.

The digital twin offers much more. The highly innovative optimization algorithms integrated into W2MO can be used in real time to improve your processes — whether finding the optimal storage bin for putaway or the best combination of picking routes — and feed the results directly into your transport orders. Whether AGV or robot — from any manufacturer, of any age — or manual means of transport (forklifts, carts, tuggers, etc.): integrate every vehicle into the digital twin. A single, end-to-end system that knows and optimizes every transport.

W2MO detects changes in area occupancy, new fill levels or visual signals and can automatically generate the required transport orders. Transport orders are then distributed optimally across the appropriate means of transport. The use of conveyors, forklifts, AGVs, robots, etc. is optimized according to their respective properties and capabilities and used as efficiently as possible. Unnecessary trips are reduced to a minimum. Tour building and routing are also optimized: the W2MO algorithms compute the most efficient route per order and navigate all means of transport (e.g. AGVs) dynamically, taking jams, obstacles and permissible speeds into account.

W2MO fleet management ships with all the tools needed to manage transports: routes can be defined quickly and easily, transport orders managed and executed, and blockages avoided. Intelligent alarm and traffic management are part of the package.

Existing AGVs or AGVs from new manufacturers only need a simple interface to receive transport orders. Every AGV system provides an “order input” — without such an interface the system could not function today either. An interface for capturing the current location or state of the AGVs being controlled is not necessary, because the positions of all vehicles are already captured by the W2MO RTL&RS. The load state of forklifts or AGVs can be estimated reliably from the distance driven and the quantities moved. All AGVs and robots can be integrated with minimal effort, and no approval from the AGV supplier is required.

Current workflows, storage and area occupancy, jams etc. are visualized interactively and dynamically in 3D — for complete transparency at any moment. Recorded movements can be “replayed”. Versatile evaluations and heatmaps support the continuous optimization of the fleet. The W2MO software integrates easily with other IT systems; standard interfaces are available for many ERP and WMS systems (e.g. SAP).

The Pixel PT from Pixel Robotics is fully integrated into W2MO. Not only are all functions of W2MO fleet management used — the entire navigation is based on the information from the AI-RTL&RS, complemented by Sick front and rear scanners as mandatory safety equipment.

With a payload of 1.3 tonnes, a top speed of 1.5 m/s and Li-Io batteries enabling one- or two-shift operation, the robot is well equipped for harsh logistics environments. It carries more than 12 on-board cameras and supports automatic barcode scanning. In addition to the safety scanners, it uses front and rear cameras to monitor the surroundings and detect objects that are not picked up by the safety scanners, such as raised forklift forks.
