To check the content of containers moving on a conveyor, or to inspect the labels on cartons, a camera gate can be mounted on the conveyor. This gate reads all 1D and 2D barcodes on the cartons, can read the text on the labels and even verify the dimensions.

This works both for cartons moving on a conveyor and for smaller products in containers. The system therefore provides a scan-free solution for content control.

W2MO identification gate for pallets on a conveyor

The W2MO identification gate can be mounted on a conveyor system to perform additional tasks beyond reading barcodes and verifying that all labels were read. Based on a list of possible load carriers, it can recognize which load carrier is being used. Empty pallet stacks can also be detected, even when they carry no label.

To capture the dimensions and contours of the transported pallets, the gate can be equipped with 3D cameras that extend its functionality with dimensioning.
