Conveyor Belt Tracking & Tracing.
AI cameras track goods on conveyor belts without additional tags or labels.
Box Tracing.
Follow every box across your conveyor — no tags, no labels, no manual scanning.
- Track boxes on conveyor without any tag
- Automatic detection of box removal
- Detection of box type
By mounting the AI-RTL&RS recognition units on top of your conveyor system, you can track all the boxes on the conveyor system without any tags. After receiving the initial information about a new crate at the beginning of a conveyor via an interface, the cameras can follow the crate throughout the entire conveyor system. This ensures that there is no mix-up, and if a box is removed manually, the system can generate an alert.
Interfacing with the conveyor system can be done in several ways, including OPC-UA or RESTful APIs.
The use case can be extended by recognizing the type of box on the conveyor or, in the case of clear visibility, even the content inside the box. Combined with the Digital Twin you get full transparency about what is happening on your conveyor and an easy way to analyse the movements.
You can even opt for a live camera view and use the cameras to see what is happening in an inaccessible area.
Traffic Jam Detection.
Monitor the fill level in real time and catch blockages before they bring the line to a stop.
- Monitoring of conveyor fill level
- Blockage detection
- Detection and prediction of traffic jams
For conveyor systems with items of any shape you can use the fill-level monitoring. The recognition units use a segmentation approach to define full and empty spaces on the conveyor and generate a fill level at any time and for all parts of the conveyor.
If a standstill is detected or large objects are blocking the conveyor, the system alerts the operator. In this way, conveyor congestion can be quickly resolved or even avoided.
